Operating principle

Thermal (bimetallic) and electromagnetic releases are combined inside. In case of overload, the bimetallic slowly opens the circuit, protecting the wiring and equipment, and in case of short circuit, the electromagnetic mechanism instantly operates, providing the required breaking capacity of 10 kA. Thanks to this architecture, the circuit breaker maintains stable operation in PV circuits with ripples and reverse currents inherent in inverter systems, which is important for the DC circuit breaker segment.
